In response to a kind invitation from the Jordanian Physiotherapy Society and Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, the Libyan Physical Therapy Association participated in the Arab meeting that brought together representatives of physiotherapy associations and professional syndicates from various Arab countries. The meeting was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, under the theme: “Physical Therapy in the Arab World: Between the Present and the Future.”
During the meeting, Dr. Qais Gasibat, President of the Libyan Physical Therapy Association, delivered a presentation outlining the current state of the physiotherapy profession in Libya, the efforts undertaken to organize and advance the sector, as well as the Association’s goals and future vision to promote the profession in line with scientific developments and modern practices both within the Arab world and internationally.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a cooperation agreement in the fields of training and scientific research was signed between the Libyan Physical Therapy Association and the Egyptian Physiotherapy Syndicate. Representing the Egyptian side was Dr. Sami Saad, President of the Egyptian Physiotherapy Syndicate. This important step reflects the Libyan Association’s commitment to strengthening Arab collaboration and knowledge exchange, aiming to enhance the quality of education and professional practice in Libya.
